100 Episodes In — The Lessons, Growth, and Grit Behind The Scarlet Edit

My Round Two Podcast journey that led to The Scarlet Edit ❤️‍🔥

This week marks a huge milestone for me — my 100th recorded podcast episode.
Only 6% of podcasters ever make it here, and honestly, I get why. It takes consistency, courage, and a whole lot of stubbornness to keep showing up and putting your voice out into the world.

When I hit record for the very first time back in 2022, I had no idea what I was doing. My original show, Round Two, was born out of a question I couldn’t shake: what happens after life doesn’t go as planned? Divorce, career pivots, personal reinventions — all those moments we don’t post about but that define who we become.

That show evolved into The Scarlet Edit, a space for raw, real conversations about modern relationships, the messy, human, in-between stories that deserve to be told without judgment.

When I look back now, it’s wild to see how much I’ve grown as a host, creator, and person. I’ve learned how to ask harder questions, the ones that make people pause. I’ve learned to edit my own episodes, to trust my instincts, and to understand what my listeners actually need from me.

But more than anything, I’ve learned that podcasting isn’t just about talking — it’s about listening.

It’s about the messages I get from women who say, “Thank you for making me feel seen.” It’s about the man who told me my story helped him understand his partner. It’s about building a space where shame doesn’t win.

People often ask me how I’ve landed guests like the Chief Strategy Officer of Ashley Madison or bestselling authors within just months of launching The Scarlet Edit. The truth? I just asked. I believed in the show enough to shoot my shot — and every single person said yes.

That’s what I love about podcasting — it’s not about being perfect. It’s about being real.

So, here’s what I’d tell 2018-me, the girl who sat on the idea for four years before finally pressing record:
Start now. You have no idea what could come from it.

To everyone listening, reading, or sharing this journey with me — thank you. Your messages, your vulnerability, your stories… they are the reason I keep going.

Here’s to the next 100. ❤️‍🔥
